“High 5 Summit” to Seek and Share The Essence of Health from New Zealand to The World
After the pandemic, the global health industry has become a robust engine for global economic growth. However, challenges such as changing customer demands, technological developments, regulatory issues, supply chain problems, and increased competition have become increasingly apparent.
On 24 November, the inaugural “High 5” New Zealand International Health Industry Summit, hosted by the NEXT Federation, with principal partners Fonterra (New Zealand), TUS Holdings (China), and Zespri (New Zealand), was successfully held at the Due Drop Event Centre in Auckland, New Zealand. The event included forums, exhibitions, and an award gala dinner.
Advocating the Essence of Health, Attracting Heavyweights and Celebrities
New Zealand, known for its integration of nature and modernity, is one of the most actively promoting countries of essence of health. The “High 5 Summit” focused on the theme of “The Essence of Health,” advocating the seeking and sharing of essence of health through exhibitions, forums, and awards. The goal was to facilitate mutually beneficial global business relationships so that to help companies in the health industry reach consumers so they have better access to improved health.

Indonesian Deputy Minister of Economic Coordination Rudy Salahuddin and Director General of the Indonesian Trade Promotion Center Didi Sumedi participated online and delivered speeches.

The High 5 Summit focused on five major consumer sectors: medical health, physical health, mental health, social health, and environmental health, covering dozens of sub-industry sectors. Over 300 companies participated, including local giants such as Fonterra, Zespri, Unipharm, Keraplast, GMP, Rockit™ Apple, NZeno, BAXY G’nature, the New Zealand Ginseng Association, and cutting-edge enterprises like TĀMATA HAUHĀ, Dewpoint, Vortex, Solarzero, and Wilbest Green Tech.

The summit witnessed positive impacts immediately, with several projects achieving significant milestones, including partnerships in probiotics, sports nutrition, and medical nutrition between Fonterra and Vital Nova Health, Oxyenergy and Maifu Nutrition Technology. TUS Holdings and the NEXT Federation confirmed communication mechanism to promote two-way scientific and technological investment services between China and New Zealand. NEXT Federation and Pacific Channel signed a cooperation agreement, sharing technological investment industry resources. ThinkDock announced the commencement of online operations, providing a global social capital network service.

On the evening of November 24th, the High 5 Awards were unveiled.
The High 5 Awards, adhering to the vision of ‘Health Integrity Grants Happiness,’ aim to recognise individual merits and organisational achievements towards the value of High impact innovation, Highly premium suppliers, High demand markets, High quality networking, and High added-value.
The awards included two categories: High 5 Awards of Merit (Individual) and High 5 Awards of Achievements (organisation). Each category comprised five awards, recognizing different values. A panel of 12 top experts from the global government, media, academy, business, and community sectors served as the High 5 Awards committee, with Findex, a well-known accounting firm in Australia and New Zealand, acting as the accreditor to the High 5 Award.
In the organisational award category, the High 5 Health Innovator Award of Achievement goes to Fonterra-Nutiani for its sustained focus on the value of New Zealand dairy sources, leading innovation in the dairy industry, and pioneering dairy science while actively practicing a sustainable development strategy.
